The "TT" Adventure Tour has begun
Pick up you passport today & compete in our 2010 "TT" Riding Contest.
For those of you who don't know about the "TT" Adventure Tour, please take a minute to read this blog. This riding contest just might be exactly what you're looking for to liven up this years riding season.
When working at a Harley-Davidson dealership it's not uncommon to be asked by customers; "Where is your favorite place to ride?" Of course each employee has their favorite destination. I like the Branding Iron in Thompson, Wayne likes Psycho Suzies in the cities, Marlene & Duane love the river restaurants and so on and so forth. So you can imagine when someone would ask; "Do you have any good recommendations for a bite to eat?" everyone would give this customer their two-cents. "No, Rob, you should really go here....it's a way better ride taking the back roads to Thompson than traveling up Hwy 13." So one day our magnificent Parts Manager got an incredible idea: let's take all our favorite place to ride and put them into a passport of sorts that our customers can take home with them. And better yet, let's make it into a contest!
Thus the "TT" Adventure Tour was born.
So genius Wayne Willey took the idea and combined it with his annual ride that was called the "TT" Tourist Trophy Ride and made it into a season long riding contest. Originally the "TT" Ride was a one-day event where people would come and pick up their 'passports' ride to the destinations listed in the passport, get them stamped, and turn them in at the end for a prize drawing. The deal was you had to make every stop on the passport in order to qualify for the drawing. People loved this ride, but we were running out of new destinations that were in a one-day riding range. So when Rob asked the once painful question about our favorite places to ride, it hit Wayne like a large June Bug on summers nights ride in July.
This year is Bergdale's 2nd year of the "TT" Adventure Tour. It is a passport filled with our employees favorite places to ride. They are all listed my miles from Albert Lea. The farther away from Bergdale H-D you ride, the more points you get. Come pick up your passport today & get going on the ride of the season!
You must be wondering what happens when someone asks about a great place to ride................"Hey Wayne!!! Can you tell Steve about the "TT"!!!!"
